Artist Statement
Floor Mommersteeg made this necklace in a technique she developed, mastered and refined in recent years. She builds volumes, mathematic or organic, from nylon fiber using heat. The material looks like glass but is strong and ultra-light. The elements in this necklace are dyed in a range of shading, subtle colours. These hues, and the transparency and reflexion of the material, make the piece very lively, and even more when worn.
