Bio:
I make objects for the body, creating a place of mystery. I am continually challenged by materials and processes. My environment is urban - in the city of glass and concrete I explore space, shadows and nature. Through the structure of jewelry and adornment I want to tease our senses, create awareness of our bodies and encourage dialogue. Jewelry fills our heart and sole giving us poetry, joy and memories. My studio practice supports edition and one of a kind jewelry that is available through galleries as well as in the permanent collection of our museums.
Short Artist Statement:
for this body of work-Sculptural Forms - Teasing our senses!!!! Using steeI, I am able to create tension and light weight forms that compliment the body and are wearable. The brooches and ring exemplify materiality and process.
