Bio:
Małgosia Kalińska, born in 1963 in Warsaw, Poland, is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in large format painting and jewellery design. Currently she obtained a PhD at the Jewellery Design department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz where she also received a scholarship of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Her work is being shown at several collective and individual exhibitions of paintings and contemporary jewellery.
Artist Statement:
I am interested in creating minimalist and abstract objects subtly suggesting their source of origin. Self-developed rotomoulding technique allows me to create jewellery that is lightweight, naturally shaped into biomorphic forms, with an element of surprise carefully, calculated in the process of creation.
