We invite you to apply to be a part of the AdornAxis New York City Jewelry Week exhibition, Jewelry Off the Grid.
AdornAxis will once again be showcasing exemplary jewelry design from around the globe by artists who masterfully use uncommon materials or common materials in uncommon ways.
Our participation will include both an in person pop up event and an online, e-commerce exhibition. *Both our in person pop up and online exhibition will allow for the sale of your artwork.
OVERVIEW:
We invite you to apply to be a part of the AdornAxis exhibition at NYC Jewelry week to raise your international profile and connect with buyers, collectors, editors and gallerists.
The AdornAxis theme for Jewelry week will be ‘Jewelry off the Grid’. We brainstormed about how to approach the larger NYCJW theme, “The Power of Jewelry” and we were instantly excited about the most literal idea of ‘power’. We will play with the double entendre of the phrase “off the grid”, that not only references the uncommon nature of the jewelry that we feature, but also references the literal power grid and technology.
We plan to have several components to our overall participation including both an in person pop up as well as a virtual component. We are planning for our in person event to incorporate an interactive mixed media light/ sound/ performance collaborative component to further our off the grid theme. All components will be documented in a print catalog that will accompany our exhibition. *These plans are all contingent on NYC and NYCJW going forward with it’s in person events.
*Submitting an Application does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibition.
The fee to apply for *live event in NYC is $30
The fee covers all administrative costs incurred, but does not cover the cost to purchase a book. Books will be sold separately, and there is no obligation to purchase one.
Artists in all stages of their careers are encouraged to apply.
AdornAxis strongly suggests images should be submitted on a white background. We may alter the backgrounds of any images accepted that are not on a pure white background.
By applying to our event, you give permission to AdornAxis to use your images in our publication as well as any promotional advertising we will do, as well as permission to alter the background of your images as needed. The artist retains copyright of their materials, and receives credit/link whenever possible.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR JURYING, YOU MUST PAY FIRST AND USE THE CONFIRMATION CODE THAT WILL BE EMAILED TO YOU IN THE APPROPRIATE SPACE IN THE APPLICATION FORM.
YOUR SUBMISSION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL YOUR PAYMENT IS RECEIVED.

The fee to apply for *online only is $15
Our virtual show is open to all International as well as US artists.
If your work is accepted, you will have the opportunity to submit 3 pieces to be sold on our website.
Submit up to 3 images of artwork to be considered. These may be 3 different artworks or details of one piece. The pieces that you apply with should be similar to the pieces you intend to sell. The images you are submitting can be the exact pieces or examples of work you would like to sell.
Upon acceptance, artists must provide images of work, with up to 3 (only one is required) images of work accepted for each piece (for example, one image of piece front, one image of the piece from the back, and one on a model
Artists will be featured online and in all our promotional materials as well as our print catalog.
Please check your application materials carefully for typos as we will be using whatever you submit as the text in your section of the book.
You may sumit low res images to be juried, but we will require images with 300dpi for publication.
Payments will be made on the AdornAxis websiite and artists will be immediately notified via email, and will ship directly to the customer.
A 50% commission will be collected by AdornAxis.
Upon acceptance all fine print will be detailed in a contract.
Upon acceptance, all materials are due to AdornAxis by October 15.

IN PERSON POP UP:
The fee to apply for *live event in NYC is $30 *This includes both online and in person representation as well as being part of our social media feed and print exhibition catalog.
We are limiting the number of in person artists to a maximum of 15 with 2 spotlight artists to be announced later.
An in person NYC pop up event is only only to US artists
NYC location TBA.
Artists are not required to attend.
A contract detailing the shipping will be sent upon acceptance.
AdornAxis will be collecting 50% commission.
Pop Up artists will be featured online and in all our promotional materials as well as our print catalog.

ARTISTS ARE NOT REQIRED TO ATTEND IN PERSON.
*AdornAxis is planning to go ahead with the in person pop up, but in the event of a mandatory shut down due to variants or if the organizers of NYJW decide to proceed online only, we will not refund any jury fees, we will proceed virtually for all artists.
