While I began creating this work in 2011, I believe that the challenges of the Pandemic have made the need to focus on grounding through breathing even more relevant today. I am interested in the power adornment has to create self-awareness. Is it possible to evoke the act of breathing in a static object through material choices? This body of work explores questions about the body and the intimate personal interaction between the wearer and the object.
