Through the pandemic a lot of us have questioned the relevance of one's own work and art in general. My current work is a response to why making jewelry and telling my story is not only important to me but also relevant to others who can relate to it. While misinformation and discrimination has become an adamant truth of our time, highlighting beauty of my cultural inheritance through jewelry is my way of bringing awareness, building connections and feeling pride in who I am.
